Heritage: Returning to My Roots (Reflection #2)
Jul 07, 2026
One of the greatest joys of returning to Korea is rediscovering the craftsmanship woven into everyday life; traditional architecture, handcrafted details, natural materials, and centuries-old techniques continue to inspire modern design in remarkably subtle ways.
The colors of traditional Hanji paper reminded me that thoughtful products begin long before they take their final form. They begin with curiosity, respect for materials, and an appreciation for craftsmanship.
The older I become, the more I realize that heritage isn't just preserved in museums, but a living thing that the people around us continue to carry forward.
